Selecting the Perfect Design
The most innovative architects in the world were invited to submit their designs for the permanent exhibit wing. Excitement grew as drawings and models were entered into competition:
 Dozens of entries were carefully considered. The winning design had to fulfill several goals. It had to be appropriate to the subject, visually pleasing, and provide ample, well-lit space for the exhibits and the scholars who would come to study them. All entries were placed on public display to allow comment from as many people as possible.
